On Wednesday afternoon of last week we made the eight hour trek north to Traverse City, Michigan for Thanksgiving. (By the way, it was about 63 degrees here before we left and about 30 degrees when we got there!) We were excited to visit Steve, Michelle, Patrick and Miranda and see their new home for the first time. There was plenty of room for all of us to stay and as always Steve and Michelle were great hosts. If you like coffee, they will always have it brewing for you! On Thanksgiving Day we joined the other Acres that are in Michigan and had a delicious meal. Afterwards, because it had snowed the previous day and overnight, the kids bundled up in the 20 degree temperatures and headed outside to sled and do all kinds of crazy snow-related activities. As you will see from the following video clip, they had a blast!
That night, Dan, Laura and Eastin arrived from South Florida. They loved seeing the snow and the next morning were able to do a little bit of sledding themselves...
We had a fantastic time with everyone and of course the cousins didn't want to leave each other when it was time to go home. If you want to see our pictures from the vacation, please click on this shutterfly link and it will take you to the album.
Thanks for letting us share our Thanksgiving with you. My next blog will be about a huge dairy farm we visited on the way home from Michigan. Stay tuned!
