2008 Portraits

I can't say that our children really enjoy the dreaded "photo session" and when they see me getting all set up there are definitely groans. However, I make it as quick and painless as I possibly can and they have to realize they are dealing with an amateur and I'm still learning! Lighting is my biggest issue and I've found out my best option is to tape the black backdrop to the garage door, set a stool in front of it and shoot away. It has to be a bright but non-sunny day otherwise there is too much squinting! I used to take their annual portraits in the early Spring after they had all their birthdays, but it has gotten later and later every year and now I make myself get it done at least a week before their next birthday!! I probably should save myself the hassle and take them back to Wal-Mart like I did for years, but I just can't see getting all those pictures and having them sit in a folder somewhere...it's just too easy to only order what I need (which isn't much). The album is below for the grandparents and relatives that want to order their own copies...I have chosen the first one in each grouping as the best but you may have a different opinion. 2008 Portraits...no longer on the to-do list.
