Last but not least, Paul's mom came for a visit! We really enjoyed her being here and Carlie took full advantage of having Grandma to play with while the other children were at school. Grandma was staying in Carlie's bedroom so Carlie felt it her privilege to be in there whenever she well pleased! It worked out that Mom was able to watch one of Hallie's cross-country meets and one of Zack's football games and they enjoyed having another "fan" on the sidelines.
We also took Mom apple picking since she had never been before. It was a great excuse to visit Anderson Orchard for the fourth year in a row...we really love picking apples there. Another reason Mom likes to visit this time of year is so that she can visit her mom at her brother's house just two hours away. We were able to spend a few hours with the Smith relatives and it was really good to see Grandma Smith again.
Paul's 38th birthday took place while Mom was here so she got to help him celebrate. I made an apple tart with our freshly picked apples for the occasion! So, we kept her busy but it was a great time together and next time we hope she can bring Dad with her. Thanks for visiting, Mom!
