Ooops...I just realized this happened before Carlie's birthday so should come after that post...confused?? Not important!
Anyway, Paul and I were able to fly out to Denver at the beginning of November for a conference he had there. THANKS TO LIZ who flew up to be with the kids, it was a wonderful little get-away for Paul and me and we had a wonderful time! Our hotel was right in the heart of downtown which was fun but we also spent a day traveling down to Pueblo (where Paul used to live) and we also visited Royal Gorge. The scenery is so different in Colorado and I feel like I could just drive around for hours being fascinated by the uniqueness of the West.
We didn't take too many pictures but the ones we did are at this SHUTTERFLY LINK. We had a great time eating dinner with two of our cousins but we're hoping the relatives that we didn't get to see have forgiven us by now! We know they don't really want to see us without the kids anyway! We wish we had had more time...next time!
