Costume Fun

I know I've already put these pictures on facebook, but I must blog about them for the relatives who aren't up-to-speed with the newest way to keep in touch! :-) The kids' costumes mostly came together on the last day or two...we hadn't put too much thought into it up to that point. What really helped was the great weather we were having. It allowed us to do very little layering and no coats, gloves, etc. Makes things a lot easier!

Carlie's chocolate shake was a recycled costume from Hallie who wore it in 1999. Carlie is more in the "princess" phase right now but this came out of the box first and it was definitely the easiest!

Brock's Ninja costume was recycled too! Zack wore it in 2002! Love those hand-me-downs!

Zack's costume was an idea from www.familyfun.com. The bones are white contact paper! The mask was $2 and we took the easy way out instead of making our own. For the gloves we just used white paint on a pair of black gloves I had. He was pretty pleased with the outcome.

Hallie's was a little more complicated and also came from www.familyfun.com. It was supposed to be a "granny" but we couldn't find a mask for her so it became "gramps". Hallie was definitely pleased with the results but her neck did hurt by the end of trick-or-treating with gramps under her chin the whole night.
Hope everyone had a great time and got lots of candy!
